Meet Cathleen
I believe meaningful therapy begins with understanding the whole person, not simply the symptoms that brought them to my couch.
My work is grounded in the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, relationships, bodies, and lived experiences are deeply connected. I work with adults who are ready to understand themselves more deeply, move beyond patterns that no longer serve them, and create meaningful change in the way they experience their lives.
My approach is warm and compassionate, but also active and honest. Therapy with me is not simply a place to feel heard, it is a collaborative process that may ask you to look closely at patterns, challenge long-held beliefs, tolerate discomfort, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and your life.
I believe the most meaningful change happens when both therapist and client are deeply engaged in the work. I bring curiosity, expertise, and commitment to the process, and I ask my clients to bring a willingness to participate in their own growth, both inside and outside of therapy.
Let’s get to work.
Meet the Wren & the Oak
The Wren
Small in stature but remarkably powerful in voice, the wren is known for a song that seems almost impossible for its size. It represents the strength found in discovering your voice, taking up space, and recognizing that presence is not measured by size. At Wren & Oak, the wren is a reminder that even the smallest shifts can carry farther than we imagine.
The Oak
The oak represents something different: strength that is rooted, steady, and built over time. Its growth begins beneath the surface, creating the foundation that allows it to withstand change while continuing to reach outward. It reflects the grounding, resilience, and deep internal work that lasting growth requires.
Together, the wren and the oak represent the heart of this work: finding your voice, strengthening your roots, and growing into a life that feels more fully your own.
