What to expect before we begin
Therapy is an investment of your time, energy, and resources. I want the practical side of beginning therapy to be clear so you can make an informed decision about whether working together is right for you.

Wren & Oak is a self-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurer directly to understand your benefits.
HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Wren & Oak is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions so there is consistency in our work together. As therapy progresses, we can discuss whether a different frequency makes sense based on your needs and goals.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy. Virtual sessions are available to clients who are located in Florida at the time of the session.
How long will I be in therapy?
There isn't one timeline that is right for everyone. The length of our work will depend on what brings you to therapy, what we discover along the way, and the kind of change you are hoping to create. We will talk openly about your progress and whether our work continues to be useful to you.
A Few Practical Details
What should I expect at my first session?
Your first appointment is a 60-minute intake session. We will spend time getting to know what brings you to therapy, relevant parts of your history, what you would like to work toward, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This gives us a foundation for beginning to shape your treatment around you.
How does payment work?
Payment is due at the time of each session. A card will be kept securely on file for payment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments are reserved specifically for you. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to the full session fee, except in circumstances outlined in the practice policy.
